The goal of the project is to improve the quality of the public debate on state-church relations in selected key areas of public life in Poland, such as: the public education system, the domain of key political decisions, women’s rights and public finance.



Objectives:

• Identify key areas which are constitutive to the state-church relations in Poland;
• Make a critical review and assessment of the existing mechanisms/solutions in state-church relations in selected areas of the public life in Poland;
• Identify and describe the views and positions of different actors on the public scene on selected aspects of state-church relations;
• Compare the Polish experience and solutions concerning state-church relations in selected areas with solutions existing in other countries;
• Attempt to develop an alternative language in discussing state-church relations in the public discourse, devoid of religious connotations;
• Elaborate propositions of system and institutional solutions, shaping state-church relations in a new way, allowing for pluralism of religions and worldviews as well as democratic values.
