Project Description	The goal of the project is to develop and promote intensive, practical and innovative collaboration between lay people, NGOs and academic research institutions (including universities) concerning formulation of research topics, the knowledge production and its appropriation by society. The objectives are: raise awareness of particular scientific topics, esp. the environmental and social ones through organizing public debates on scientific topics including different kinds of knowledge (expert, lay, civil, “local” knowledge); promote mutual dialog and collaboration among lay people, NGOs and academic institutions and raise awareness of possibilities and relevance of these collaboration; create a stable environment for sharing research topics and expert capacities between NGOs and academia; help NGOs in becoming intermediary agents between academic research institutions and researchers and unorganized public introduce the environment and activities of NGOs to student and young scholars and scientists; discuss the role of different kind of knowledge (incl. NGOs and civil society) in Czech society and decision making processes.
