| Project Description |
The goal of the project is to provide the public with an independent, comprehensive source of information on spending the public purse in Hungary and make it possible for researchers, journalists and other interested users to filter and adjust more diversified, transparent and easily searchable information about politicians, businesspeople and their relationships as well as transactions between them.
The specific objectives are:
- Develop a database and a network map that makes political decisions of public bodies on various alternatives of law-making, granting public procurements, tenders, privatization procedures and EU funds searchable, analyzable and transparent.
- Elaborate a common working method in which the three NGOs request data of public interest and make litigations where needed together.
- Do monitoring work and influence decision-.makers in the following areas: public procurements, party financing through phantom NGOs and winding up processes, revolving door phenomenon, freedom of information, employee conflict of interests.
