The main problem project addresses is the sever damage of Slovak-Hungarian relations caused by the activities of radical nationalists and extremists and by inability of mainstream political forces to keep relations in the mode corresponding to their status of EU and NATO member states. The project will continue expert debate on Slovak Hungarian relations between Slovak and Hungarian academics and public. Such a round table was already organized in November in Budapest with wide media coverage. Applicant believes that continuation of this debate will help in metallization of alternative point of views on Slovak – Hungarian relationships to those presented by current politicians. |
