| Project Description | The goal of this project is to ensure the fairness of the lections for the European Parliament (EP) in Romania, scheduled for November 25th, 2007. Its objectives are:
- insuring the monitoring of the voting day for the European Parliament elections in 1,000 voting sites located in both rural and urban areas;
- insuring the monitoring of the public institutions having responsibilities in enforcing the law; informing public opinion and international organizations acting in the anti-corruption struggle about how those institutions take their responsibilities and enforce the law in the area their responsibilities cover;
- insuring the monitoring of the election campaign for the EP in terms of the financial resources the political parties and candidates use in those campaigns and informing public opinion about the amounts of money spent by the main political parties at the national level as well as about the way the law will have been respected;
- informing the public opinion and foreign institutions about the correctness of the electoral process for the elections for the European Parliament in terms of both the electoral campaign and voting day.
