The project aims to counter the systematic deterioration and destruction of democratic values and structures in Hungary by monitoring the functioning and development of the newly set up constitutional system and by trying to remedy the revealed problems through different legal means. The results of the civic scrutiny and the individual legal steps will be used for international advocacy and for raising the general public’s awareness of the importance of human rights and democratic values and of how these values are threatened in practice by the new system. |
