| Project Description | Objectives: 1. to evaluate political discourse during electoral campaign for EP elections; 2. to offer periodical feedback during the campaign to politicians and journalists in what concerns the quality of electoral discourse; 3. to help protect the public’s right to correct information by reacting promptly to any side-slips in the journalistic discourse. Activities: 1. Media monitoring of political discourse in TV talk-shows and national print media; 2. Periodical public information on findings related to quality of electoral discourse during campaign (2 at least); 3. Elaboration of final media analysis report; 4. Public launch of final report; 5. Organization of public debate to discuss nature of public discourse on European issues, potential difficulties encountered by the journalists in covering the campaign and elections and eventual journalistic side-slips; 6. Elaboration of recommendation report. |
