The project goal is, therefore, to strengthen and widen the influence of Mediapool – through ensuring its durability and sustainability – as a media factor which gives the floor to the expression of clear opinions in favour of the civil society, not being related to political or business circles and being an alternative to the manipulative wide-circulation media of tabloid style. To promote the values of independent journalism and its highest professional standards through producing high-quality content in an accessible format, understandable by the readers. To raise public awareness and citizens’ knowledge of worthy information, stimulating the general public and encouraging groups of citizens to be socially active through providing an appropriate forum for them to exchange opinions, to question the policy-makers and to receive feedback in an atmosphere of accountability and transparency.
