| Project Description | The project presents the conviction that true and lasting democracy can’t exist if the citizens don’t understand and appreciate democratic values. The impact of the first phase of our project exceeded the expectations destroying the popular assumptions (taken for granted) that young people in Bulgaria are passive, disinterested, alienated by the social problems in the country were broken down. During the Phase II we aim to continue persuading and demonstrating to the Local authorities in 7 Bulgarian middle-sized towns that they MUST provide local informal environment where young people will be encouraged, stimulated and trained to contribute for developing a healthy civil society thus influencing their own future. Another goal of the project from the methodological point of view is to present the Forum Theatre as an effective method for informal civic education. |
