Project DescriptionThe purpose of the project is to strengthen individual giving in Slovakia. In order to develop an interactive dialogue between individual donors and NGOs, it will be essential to offer them innovative projects addressing real community needs addressed by NGOs and community initiatives and to use modern techniques of communication and effective financial management. An interactive and transparent website (similar to Facebook, utilizing web 2.0b) will be built as one of the key tools for fundraising /giving and communication. It will play into the deeply recognized and shared sentiment among the target group that Slovakia should be a place to which they would always like to return, no matter how successful they have been abroad. Objectives of the project are: 1. to attract individual support for investment in communities with the aim of being oriented not only on very specific topics covering only one area of societal problems, but also to provide individuals with the possibility of supporting activities from different areas mapping the whole country from a geographical, interest-orientation, or target-group point of view – at least 50 projects from 30 organizations in the first phase of the project; 2. to raise awareness about the activities of Slovak NGOs and community initiatives using a creative communication campaign and modern tools that are close to the middle and younger generations (web sites, viral marketing, direct emails, public events); 3. to assist individual donors in learning about societal causes and simplify the steps of giving via an interactive donor management and reward system (e-pay, bank transfers, credit cards, payroll giving, DMS) with the aim of allowing donors to create their own accounts on the website and monitor donated money and the way in which it is used; and 4. to increase accountability and transparency of NGOs via promotion and publication of information about their projects, activities implemented, and results achieved.

Project DescriptionThe goal of the project is to promote partnership and cross-sectoral cooperation in order to attract business support for investment in communities to meet various levels of societal needs, primarily in innovative and progressive areas, since these are only rarely or not at all supported by business because they are generally less popular causes; and to work intensively with NGOs to introduce them with tools that will enable them to absorb such support and sustain it in a form of long-term partnerships, with both the general public and the private sector.
