Project Description


The project places its focus on presenting methods for NGOs and CSOs to effectively advocate at European level, understand the functioning of European networks and other advocacy mechanisms, and learning to make full use of the legal and political tools made available by European treaties and charters in their local or national advocacy.

The objectives are:

  • providing a series of structured trainings and European-level seminars, followed by a study visit in Brussels and a final international forum, with the aim of introducing participants to EU-level advocacy, EU funding, networking possibilities at European level, and the new legal tools available at EU level to improve the efficiency and civil society and NGO work at national and local level;
  • developing a functioning international network composed of young people involved in  Roma, LGBT and activist organizations that will be capable of working at EU level enriching the work of NGOs and CSOs with an active civil society fully conscious of the opportunities offered by European integration;
  • sharing the good practice examples of European organizations and European-level networks to the NGOs and CSOs in Romania;
  • creating a transnational online platform and a guidebook aimed at helping the Romanian civil society to engage at EU level, which will remain as a legacy of this project.
