"Democracy at the Countryside" - Award Winner at the Romanian Civil Society Gala
On May 20th, The CEETrust funded project Democracy at the Countryside, implemented by Asociatia Pro Democratia and CeRe - The Resource Center for Public Participation, was awarded the 2nd prize within the Civic Behaviour and Public Participation section of the Romanian 2009 Civil Society Gala.
The project succeeded in increasing citizen involvement in the public decision making process from small Romanian communities. Thus, more than 150 citizens, throughout longer than a year, committed to identifying, approaching and solving issues affecting their community.
