The CEE Trust believes that the following things are of importance in a project: · Relevance of the overall project to the CEE Trust mission and program funding areas; · Potential of the project to represent, stimulate, and/or support genuine civil societies; · Relevance to the local context; · Identification of a real issue (problem/need/challenge/opportunity); · Clear goals and realistic expectations; · Activities that clearly respond to the identified issue(s) and the goal(s) of the project; · Capacity of the organization (coalition, group of individual) to implement the project; · Visible efforts to reach out to the citizens; win public support; work with the media; establish partnerships; adopt a policy of transparency; · Realistic and argumented budget; · Vision for the future and strategy of the organization
